Educational Support Service

 

The Educational Support Service is provided to students registered with the unit who face challenges in attending classes or taking notes due to their disability (e.g., visual impairment, physical disability, specific learning difficulties). Within the scope of this service, notes taken by a student assistant during classes are delivered to the student receiving the service or directly to the unit.

Students may choose their own note-takers (e.g., peers who are taking or have previously taken the same course). If this is not feasible, the Fırat University Accessible Unit can announce a call to find a volunteer student assistant from among students willing to serve as note-takers.

The unit's website provides a "Volunteer Application Form" for students who wish to volunteer for this service.

For exam accommodations, the "Fırat University Guidelines for Education, Training, and Examination Practices for Students with Disabilities" is followed.
