Objectives and Areas of Activity
To achieve its objectives, the Center engages in the following activities:
- Providing awareness-raising and training services for individuals with disabilities and their families to improve their quality of life.
- Collaborating with other disciplines on research concerning individuals with disabilities.
- Participating in or facilitating the development of joint projects with public institutions and organizations.
- Identifying and addressing gaps and misconceptions in society’s knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors regarding individuals with disabilities through educational programs.
- Promoting awareness among university students about facilitating the lives of individuals with disabilities, encouraging their active participation in the Center’s projects, and supporting those interested in this field through educational initiatives.
- Raising societal awareness and sensitivity to create a barrier-free life for individuals with disabilities by collaborating with public and private sector institutions and organizations.
- Preparing projects, organizing training programs, providing scientific consultations, and offering similar services to national and international public and private sector institutions and organizations in line with the Center's objectives.
- Publishing books, journals, brochures, and similar materials and organizing programs in print and visual media to inform society about the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and to educate the public on improving their lives.
- Providing expert opinions on matters within its scope to public and private sector institutions and individuals in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Engaging in other activities as determined by the University Rectorate and the Center's governing bodies.
